If you are a woman, non-binary or genderqueer person who works in science, who is eager to talk to the general public about your research work in a fun, informal setting, then Soapbox Science Brighton is for you!
Soapbox Science organises events across the UK and the world where women, non-binary and genderqueer scientists talk about their work at a public venue. These events celebrate women in STEMM and challenge the stereotypes about who STEMM researchers are.
Soapbox Science Brighton began back in 2017, and is organised by a team at the University of Sussex. We run an event in Brighton every year, and we’d love to have you involved. The Soapbox Science Brighton 2026 event will take place on Brighton beach by the i360, with hourly speaker slots between 11am-2pm on Saturday 30th May 2026. Full details of this and previous events are available on the Soapbox Science Brighton website.
