Last term, colleagues were invited to complete a survey to offer valuable insights to be explored by the Curriculum Reimagined Steering Group to help us begin to shape our curriculum for the future.
The Curriculum Reimagined is an important component of the Learn to Transform strategy – which has the following aims:
- to ensure that studying at Sussex is a life-changing experience for every student
- to put students at the heart of their educational experience by providing them with the agency to participate in ‘everything that we do’.
Now the Steering Group are inviting Academic and Professional services colleagues to attend the first online open meeting of the Curriculum Reimagined, on 17 January, 2-4pm.
What can you expect?
Staff engagement and participation is essential to the Curriculum Reimagined process, and this is the first of a series of opportunities for you to influence how our curriculum is shaped. If you might have questions in advance, or if you can’t attend, but still wish to ask a question please submit them via this Padlet.
The event will provide an update of Curriculum Imagined, the findings of the survey and what you told us you wanted to be considered. There will be time to engage in meaningful debate on complex issues that we need to consider to inform our thinking and next steps.
Your contributions are very much appreciated, and they will help to shape the evolution of the Sussex education and its curriculum, something that we know is a primary reason why our students choose to study here.
We encourage as many colleagues involved in teaching and learning to attend. Your insights, expertise and passion enable students to making life-changing decisions, based on the disciplines, subjects and course content we offer. Importantly, students know that the curriculum is instrumental in them achieving their academic potential, increasing student satisfaction, and providing good employment prospects – and your input will help us all to develop these opportunities even further.
Please do sign up today, to reserve your place at the first open meeting of the Curriculum Reimagined.
