Accounting for Managers (N1549)
15 credits, Level 5
Autumn teaching
The module aims to enable you to develop an understanding and the skills required to evaluate the various managerial roles that accounting information plays within organisations. You will learn how to interpret financial statements and apply and evaluate techniques of financial statement analysis as well as how to explain, prepare and interpret budgets and standard costing information within organisations. The module will also develop the work place skills of working in small groups.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
We’ll make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
