Autumn teaching
On this module, you’ll explore the relationship between theatre and key social, poltical and cultural issues. You’ll explore new themes through a carefully selected performance case study.
By engaging with a variety of works, you’ll examine how theatre responds to, and shapes, contemporary debates in the wider world. You’ll connect theory with practice and analyse performances in relation to historical and theoretical frameworks.
Key skills you’ll gain include:
- critical thinking and analysis
- communication, articulation and discussion skills
- a broader understanding of how theatre interacts with various fields of study.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27.
