Advanced Physics Laboratory A (F3242)

You will carry out one four-week experimental investigation, with the goal to learn how to become independent experimental researchers. You will write a short preparatory proposal on your assigned experiment, keep a detailed logbook, and report in a presentation and a short report. Experiments are in the areas of nuclear physics, atomic physics, spin physics and astrophysics. Also, there is a series of workshops, evaluated in a short test.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 62 hours of contact time and about 88 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
