Research Project (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) (728N1)

30 credits, Level 7 (Masters)

Summer teaching

This module enables you to conceptualise, implement and report on a self-guided and independent effort of research or analysis.

In the first part of the module, you will develop a proposal for a project you want to carry out on the basis of a given research topic or a case study.

In the second part of the module, you carry out the agreed project and prepare a report on this effort in which you demonstrate your ability to critically survey, appreciate and reflect on relevant theories, models or practices and then employ these to make recommendations for problem solutions.

100%: Practical (Workshop)

100%: Written assessment (Report)

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 4 hours of contact time and about 296 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum. We’ll make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
