Current Research Interests

I am currently developing a research project that links contemporary pedagogic research on student stress that I am working on with two colleagues, with the history of stress in young people. This builds on my existing work on the cultural history of stress by exploring the ways in which student stress has been historicised, by examining popular stress discourses alongside processes of medicalisation and psychologisation and changes in education policy.
