Funding opportunities
Discover the funding and support options for research fellowships with the Materials Physics Group
Thinking about a research fellowship?
We are an established research group, based at the University of Sussex since 2017. Through a long-standing relationship with an industrial partner, we work within a unique funding and operational model that has enabled us to develop platform technology in the field of graphene-based coatings and paints. Unmatched experience in both fundamental research and application development has led, in turn, to projects in sectors including wind energy, energy recycling, healthcare – even space exploration.
Our team of Senior Research Fellows have over 50 years’ collective experience and our doctoral researchers can draw on this unrivalled asset while training with us. Our consultancy offer has attracted projects with partners including F1 and NASA.
We are always ready to talk with researchers interested in our field, who’d like to work with our group. For a chat about joining us through a fellowship or visiting researcher scheme, please email materials@sussex.ac.uk to find out how we can support your application.
