Research
My research focuses on the local aspects of peace and peacebuilding in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. I am looking at how peace is conceptualised and discussed, specifically, in Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga, a predominantly mining area. In a relatively "stable" area, I aim to explore different meanings of peace and how it relates to the everyday realities in Lubumbashi.
