Research
Imogen's research interests are in the field of pedagogic research in higher education, with a particular interest in research into learning for professional practice in social work and related professions. Most recently in 2005 she has led an interdisciplinary Sussex team undertaking a Research Review and Practice Survey as part of a Knowledge Review of the Learning, Teaching and Asssessment of Partnership, commissioned by the Social Care Institute for Excellence.
Imogen's particular research interests include:
- learning for professional and interprofessional practice at pre and post qualifying levels
- the implications of gender for the development of knowledge and practice
- the development of the learning organisation
- the management of change
- ethical issues in education and practice
- user and carer participation in education and practice
