Doctoral degrees

We welcome applications from well-qualified graduates wishing to study with us for the MPhil or PhD research degrees. These degrees can be studied full-time or part-time.

The Engineering and Design department offers many research opportunities in different areas of study. Postgraduate student stories

Alice Torjussen is doing her PhD in Animal-Computer Interaction. She combines a mixture of engineering/design, computer science and animal behaviour/cognition to investigate dogs’ perception of disembodied technology, such as Skype or FaceTime.
