NEWS: New PhD position available in the Alzheimer's society Sussex DTC with Dr Sarah King. Please click here for details



Seven students have been appointed to study complementary aspects of understanding the role of ApoE in Alzheimer’s disease with life span in the areas of psychology and biochemistry/neuroscience. The Supervisors are all members of the Sussex University Dementia Research group, and the studentships are part of a newly established Alzheimer’s Society Doctoral training centre.

As part of the Alzheimer's society training centre,  four junior research associate summer intern students were in post in 2015 and two in 2016. These are supported and run by the Doctoral School.


Many of our members are also members of the Alzheimer's research UK South network. This is a network based at University of Southampton, chaired by Dr Diego Gomez-Nicola and administrated by Alzheimer's research UK. It consists of Dementia researchers from Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Sussex.
