Longform Journalism and Non-Fiction Writing (P3223)
15 credits, Level 6
Autumn teaching
You explore and engage with different examples of long-form journalism and non-fiction writing.
You will apply your knowledge and understanding of creative writing to carry out a writing project. This will be in the form of a portfolio of long-form journalism and/or non-fiction writing.
You will also analyse and evaluate longer forms of journalism and a range of non-fiction writing. Alongside this, you will critically reflect on your own writing practice.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
We’ll make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
