Art History at Work (V4012)

15 credits, Level 5

Autumn teaching

On this module, you’ll tackle a live challenge faced by a real organisation. You’ll work on a project in small groups for a set period and present your findings to the organisation at the end of the module.

You’ll have the chance to engage problem-solving skills with issues raised by employers in the ‘art history’ and related industries. These may include:

  • heritage sites
  • museums
  • digital platforms.

You’ll develop an understanding of how art history skills can be used beyond academia.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.

We’ll make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
