Autumn teaching
On this module, you will learn about quantum computation, providing its motivations and the foundation to describe quantum information processing on an simple, hardware-independent level.
You will be provided with a framework to understand how quantum mechanical systems represent and process data, and the mathematical tools to use this framework.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
