Autumn teaching
On this module, you’ll develop an understanding of how corporates are financed. You’ll also explore how business finance should be effectively and sustainably managed internally to be raised externally.
You’ll gain knowledge, skills and techniques on topics including:
- working capital management
- financial instruments
- forecasts and budgets
- investment projects evaluation
- cash flow projections
- risk and return
- corporate financial risk management
- sustainable and green finance
- the relationship between finance and organisation
- how to use good corporate governance to sustainably improve business performance.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
