Summer teaching
On this module, you’ll gain an understanding of the strategic planning process. This includes environmental scanning, strategy development and implementation, and strategy evaluation and control.
Through case studies, you’ll discover how leading organisations use strategy to gain a competitive advantage, examining the relationship between strategy and leadership across different organisations and business contexts.
You’ll study key leadership skills, including:
- Communication
- Motivation
- Creative goal setting and problem solving
- negotiation in both formal and informal settings
We’ll also look at the common challenges that can arise when developing effective negotiation skills in modern organisations.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
