Managing People & Organisations (702N1AJ)
15 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
Summer teaching
On this module, you’ll learn evidence-based key practices to manage people in organisations. You’ll develop a broader view of Human Resource Management theories and analyse specific managerial practices to:
- motivate people
- deliver change
- influence strategy.
The module is designed to support your learning and development as a reflective and critical practitioner. You’ll focus on learning through reflection in order to challenge, critique and make evidence-based decisions on organisational issues.
There are opportunities for collaborative learning and exploring managerial practices in a diverse range of organisations. You’ll examine a specific and anticipated managerial challenge, using the theories you’ve learnt in the module to generate solutions.
Participants will be asked to reflect on aspects of ethics, sustainability and social responsibility, in their own people management practice.
