This module covers the tools and techniques used in broadcast and video production. This includes studio, team and production management. Studio and camera basics and techniques, sound recording, lighting for studio and non-studio work. Pre-production research and methods (resource management, team organisation, visual continuity). Post production including non-linear video editing, audio post.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 45 hours of contact time and about 105 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
