Photography Studies: Major Project (884P4)

60 credits, Level 7 (Masters)

Summer teaching

This module comprises the major photographic project for the HAHP owned, MA Photographic Studies: History, Theory, Practice. The core autumn module Photography: Critical Practice is a pre-requisite for the summer Major Project.

In Photography: Critical Practice you research and develop ideas for your projects and carry out initial technical experimentation. In Photography Studies: Major Project (spring/summer), you will develop your own or found/archive/Google earth imagery.

You’ll acquire advanced editing and sequencing skills, and follow the project through to completion. You will learn to situate your work within the field of contemporary photographic practice and reflect critically on your project in the report.

This is a supervision based course, taking place in the spring/summer in common with other MA dissertation/major project modules.
