Uni&You is a series of events that bring together care experienced young people from across Sussex, to find out more about further study and the support available at university. Uni&You is delivered in partnership with Sussex Learning Network.
Uni&You
For care-experienced learners in years 7-13
Uni&You events run throughout the year, with the aim of bringing together young people from across Sussex with experience of care.
The events are designed to give a real and exciting insight into university life and a better awareness of what Higher Education could offer in the future. Events in the past have included:
- a subject taster day to explore different university subjects
- a careers day
- a trip to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Uni&You activities are supported by current university students with experience of care themselves, who are be able to answer questions and offer guidance and insight into their own higher education experiences.
Uni&You events are free to attend, with lunch provided for all attendees and travel covered if travelling to us by public transport. All events are optional and there is no expectation to commit to every activity.
