Biography

Originally from NY, I began my career in documentary filmmaking and found my way into more academic pursuits to complement that work. Parallel to filmmaking, I completed my PhD in Cinema Studies at NYU in 2001. I went on to teach in Istanbul, at Bilgi University, and then in England, first at the University of the West of England in Bristol and then at Brunel University in London.
