Raymond Briggs Archive Academic Open Session
Documents from the Raymond Briggs Archive at The Keep, by kind permission of the Estate of Raymond Briggs
East Sussex and Brighton and Hove Record Office are running a special one-off open afternoon for students and lecturers who might be interested incorporating archives into their teaching or research.
The archive of renowned children’s author and illustrator Raymond Briggs was deposited at The Keep in 2024. Thanks to funding from The National Archives ‘Archives Revealed’ grant, we have catalogued the collection and are now making it accessible to the public.
This open afternoon at The Keep will feature a display of material from the Briggs archive in our Reading Room and there will be an opportunity to talk to the Project Archivist about the collection.
The session is free to attend, but please email chris.olver@eastsussex.gov.uk to register your interest.
Please note that The Keep is not open to the public on Mondays and that only material from the Raymond Briggs Archive will be available to view.
