Centre for World Environmental History Book Launch and Early Career Researcher’s Workshop
Tuesday 25 July 11:00 until 15:30
University of Sussex Campus : Arts A108

This event, organised by the Centre for World Environmental History (CWEH), will take place on 25 July 2023. Alongside the book launch for "Reordering Adivasi Worlds: Representation, Resistance, Memory" written by Sangeeta Dasgupta, there will be a workshop featuring early career researchers focused on Indigenous studies in South Asia.
In addition to the book launch, the workshop will serve as a platform for emerging scholars in the field to share their research and engage in critical discussions. We are honoured to have esteemed speakers and panellists' including Dr Manan Ganguli, Dr Maya Unnithan, David Thangsing and Manish Surin, join us for this insightful conversation. We promise to bring in valuable perspectives and expertise to the discussion, further enriching our understanding of Indigenous studies more broadly and South Asia in particular.
The workshop will explore various aspects of Indigenous studies in South Asia, shedding light on new and emerging research. It will provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and fostering connections within the academic community.
This occasion presents a unique opportunity to engage with established and emerging scholars, learn from their insights, and contribute to the ongoing discourse surrounding Adivasi representation, resistance, and memory.
