Opportunities to access funding schemes

If you are looking for funding to further develop your innovations or product designs, and you need access to knowledge and advice which could increase your organisation's capability, we can help you to identify the expertise you require and possible funding sources for your project.

Working in partnership with the University of Sussex can bring opportunities to attract funding for specific projects or the chance to establish new ways of collaborating and exchanging knowledge and experience.

Access sources of funding

Various funding schemes are available through UK Research Councils, Innovate UK and many other funding organisations, and we can help you to access those most appropriate for your project.

Opportunities can include support for a variety of research-based projects, and for three-year research studentships.

We welcome any approaches from business and other organisations with new ideas for collaborative projects which could form the basis for a funded research partnership.

Examples of funding schemes include:

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are a successful method of enabling companies to obtain knowledge, technology or skills which are of strategic competitive importance to their business, by working closely in partnership with further/higher education institutions or research organisations. The company project is undertaken by an individual with appropriate research expertise who is recruited and funded to work in the company on a shared cost basis. The University of Sussex has excellent experience of KTPs and can offer advice on such partnership arrangements.
