IT account closure for graduating PGT students

If you are graduating this Autum, access to your IT account will end on the last day of your course, which might be earlier than you were expecting.You can find your course end date on your student ID card.
On this date you will lose access to most services and onlyretain access to email (online only), Sussex Direct, and Canvas for a total of 14 months.
What do you need to do?
If you wish to keep any of your documentssaved in Onedrive or Google drive, you must download them before your course end date.Yourcopy should be saved toa personal non-university storage location e.g. apersonal OneDrive or a USB stick.
Student email
You will have access to your email account (online only) for 14 months after the last day of your course. We recommend saving any important emails and transferring any subscriptions to a personal email account.

I am a student completing my studies. When will my IT Services account close?
If you are graduating, access to your IT account will end on the last day of your course (not graduation).
After you complete your studies with the University of Sussexyou will lose access to some systems due to licensing restrictions, so you will need to prepare for this.
Before your course ends
On the last day of your course, you will lose access to the followingfile storage locations, so we recommend making copies/downloading any files you wish to keep and save them to a personal non-university online storageplatform or USB stick/harddrive:

N Drive
Login to a university computer before the end date of your course to retrieve files from your Drive.

Adobe Cloud Storage Files
If you’ve been using Adobe Cloud storage you need to back this up as soon as possible; the files are inaccessible the moment your course ends. You can use a migration tool that takes the content of your Adobe Cloud and allows you to transfer it to another account or, if one doesn’t exist,it’ll create a new account. The following services will also end on the last day of your course:

Microsoft Office
If you want to continue to edit office files, you will need topurchasea personal O365license.Alternatively, you can use Office 365 free on the web.

IT Equipment
If you have been loaned any equipment you will need to return it to the school ordepartment that loaned it to you.

Library Access
Your library card will no longer be valid when you are no longer a student at Sussex. You should return all books to the library before you leave. You can only access online e-resources while you're a registered student.

Careerhub Access
You will receive an email to the personal email address you have registered with the University. This will contain instructions on how to access Careerhub as a graduate. Please note that your ITS login details will no longer be used to accessCareerhub. If you require support with your Careerhubaccount, please contact Career Hub Support.
Services you will retain access to for 14 months after the last day of your course:

Sussex Direct
To allow you to book your graduation ceremony.

Canvas
To provide you access to your assignments, grades, readings, teaching materials and feedback for the courses you have studied.

University Email Account
Toallow the University to communicate with you. Please note that due to security restrictions you will not be able to forward university email to an external personal email account.This access will only be available via Outlook Online.
Visiting Students
If you are a visiting student, or on a course which does not result in an award, your access to most of our systems, including your Sussex email, will end when you reach the end date of your course.
Postgraduate Study
If you are continuing your studies with us, you will need to send proof of continued studiesto IT Services using theIT Support Portal.
