Staff Car Parking Permits – permit applications now open

You can now apply for your parking permit for the 2025/26 year.
Staff Parking Permits for the 2024/25 year will expire on 30 September 2025 – find out how you can renew your parking permit and how Pay As You Go Permit holders can pay their permit fee.
If you are a Blue Badge holder or drive a motorcycle and are registered with the Transport Office, your permit to park on campus is already automatic and no further action is needed.
Renew your permit
Renewing your permit is quick and easy. Simply follow the steps below. The Transport Office will then process your application – please allow two working days.
Annual Permit Holders:
- Step 1: Log onto the University of Sussex Parking Portal
- Step 2: Select the ‘Opt-In’ toggle button – this is essential to ensure you are renewing your permit for 2025/26, not just updating your details
- Step 3: You will receive an email when your permit renewal is confirmed
Pay As You Go Permit Holders:
- Step 1: Log onto the University of Sussex Parking Portal
- Step 2: Select the ‘Opt-In’ toggle button – this is essential to ensure you are renewing your permit for 2025/26, not just updating your details
- Step 3: Pay the £30 admin charge
- Step 4: You will receive an email when your permit is confirmed
Reminder: All 2024/25 parking permits expire on Tuesday 30 September 2025. To avoid paying Visitor Parking fees or receiving a Penalty Charge Notice, please renew your permit before parking on campus in October. The reduced rate Pay As You Go staff parking charge is only valid with a current permit.
