Navigating the Future: Environment, Equity and Resilience in Sustainable Global Health
Sustainability is central to the future of healthcare. Climate change and environmental degradation are increasingly recognised as major threats to global health, exacerbating existing inequalities and placing additional strain on already fragile health systems. At the same time, healthcare itself contributes significantly to environmental degradation, highlighting the urgent need for more sustainable approaches to health system design and delivery.
The latest installment in BSMS's Current Stories in Global Health event series brings together experts from policy, research, and frontline practice to explore how healthcare systems globally can evolve sustainably while strengthening resilience and justice.

About the Current Stories in Global Health series
The series runs online quarterly throughout the year and aims to simplify Global Health research, policy and practice. Each session demonstrates case studies of excellent Global Health interventions, world-class research and highlight the joys and challenges of working in Global Health. The series is for people considering a career in Global Health, those already working in Global Health and healthcare, or anyone interested in learning about the intersectional aspects of health, society and welfare through practical examples of research and intervention.
