What is an Undergraduate Visit Day?

Our Undergraduate Visit Days are a great way for you to discover more about the course you could be studying and the place you could be living for the next three or four years.

Our Undergraduate Visit Days take place on:

  • Saturday 14 February
  • Saturday 14 March
  • Saturday 11 April
  • Saturday 25 April

However, not all subject areas will be present at every Undergraduate Visit Day, so search for your course to see the available dates for your subject.

What to expect on the day

You can:

  • explore your course – spend time with your chosen department, experience our teaching and meet current students and academics
  • learn about opportunities – from study abroad and placements to customising the content of your degree
  • discover Sussex – take a campus tour, view accommodation and have your questions answered by our friendly student ambassadors
  • meet the experts – from Admissions to Student Funding, Housing to Student Advice, our teams are here to support you
  • hear from the Vice-Chancellor – a chance to meet our Vice-Chancellor and find out why Sussex is a great place to study.

Making the most of your day

Starting at 9.30am on a Saturday, the day runs through until 4.30pm – and there's plenty to do during your visit to our campus and afterwards.

Have lunch on us

We’ll provide you and your guests with a £5 lunch voucher each to redeem towards food and drink in our campus cafes and restaurants on the day.

There’s a lot of choice: from sandwiches and hot, nutritious meals to sweet treats and barista-quality hot drinks.

Explore Brighton

After visiting our campus, you can experience the dynamic, inclusive city of nearby Brighton & Hove – recently voted one of the best and happiest cities in the world, according to TimeOut – and the stunning South Downs.

Brighton is the perfect place for a relaxing seafront stroll. You can also enjoy a coffee in one of the city’s many boutique cafes and have a potter around the vibrant independent shopping area of the North Laine. It's also great for restaurants in the evening.

Experience nature and the countryside

The University of Sussex is nestled in the beautiful South Downs, and you can take the scenic boundary walk [PDF 376KB] around our campus if you're feeling energetic or wander around neighbouring Stanmer Park.
