If you’re hoping to start university in September 2025, it’s not too late to explore everything Sussex has to offer. Join one of our Applicant Visit Days – even if you haven’t applied yet. The next Visit Day is Saturday 15 March.

What to expect from an Applicant Visit Day
- Explore your course: You’ll spend the morning with your chosen department and experience how we teach. You’ll explore course content and also have the chance to meet current students and academics.
- Customise your degree: Discover the electives, placements and study abroad programmes that might be offered on your chosen course.
- Explore our accommodation: Find your home-from-home on our student housing tours, where you’ll view rooms ranging from shared accommodation to en-suite options.
- Experience Sussex: Take a campus tour and learn what life is like in our vibrant community.
- Access specialist support: Ask questions and connect with our expert Student Finance and Admissions teams.
Attending an Applicant Visit Day
We’re holding Applicant Visit Days from February to April 2025. You can check available dates for your subject when you book and let us know about any access requirements.
Applicant Visit Days take place at our iconic Falmer campus. Located just a short journey from central Brighton in the beautiful South Downs, it’s easy to reach us by car, train, bus or bicycle.

Your day will begin at 10am, but we’ll be welcoming visitors for registration from 9am onwards. You can then explore Sussex until 3.30pm, when the day ends.
Bringing parents or guests
You’re welcome to bring a guest with you. We’ll even be holding some specific information sessions for them too.

Help with travel costs
We want to make sure everyone who’s interested in studying at Sussex can visit us and experience our supportive learning environment.
We can help with the cost of travel for you and a guest. Depending on where you live, you can claim between £25 and £75.

Have lunch on us
We’ll provide you and your guests with a £5 lunch voucher each to redeem towards food and drinks in our campus cafes and restaurants on the day. There’s lots of choice: from sandwiches and hot meals to sweet treats and barista-quality hot drinks.
Not every cafe will be open, but you can see the food and drink on offer for students at Sussex.
