Summer Research Placement 2 (816G1)
You will work with a faculty member as members of one of the department's research groups, and will receive a stipend to cover living expenses.
During your research placement, you will explore research methods, learn to understand and use scientific literature, and develop practical and mathematical skills. It will provide you with opportunities for learning about research methods and practices at the same time as developing your knowledge and understanding of Mathematics.
This module is compulsory for students on the MMath with Research Placement.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2022/23. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to COVID-19, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum. We’ll make sure to let our applicants know of material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
