Research Impact and Engagement

Sussex research has been applied within the UK and internationally, where it has been taken up by legal practice communities, the judiciary, government ministers, legislators, policy-makers, institutions, international agencies, law-makers and lobby groups.

Research Impact and Engagement Strategy

Our research strategy facilitates impact and engagement in the following ways:

Sussex Law School's impact and engagement strategy is integrated into individual research planning and support. All staff are encouraged to engage with stakeholders outside of academia, including law and policy makers, civil society and non-governmental organisations, as well as members of the general public to ensure that their work has the widest reach and application possible and contributes to improvements in law and policy in their particular field.

Staff are supported in developing the impact and knowledge exchange dimensions of their research by Amy Clarke and Moira Dustin, Knowledge Exchange and Engagement Leads for the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, and by the LPS Research and Enterprise Co-ordinators, Mike Davy and Lindsey Allen-Cavell.

Below is a selection of recent engagement activities building on Sussex Law School (SLS) Research.
