We are experts in Information Technology (IT) and Intellectual Property (IP) Law and we launched in 2013.
Projects
Projects we have led:
- European Commission (EC) funded 7th Framework Programme (FP7) Internet Science
- Directorate General JUSTICE Openlaws projects (2013-16)
We have strong links to partners in these projects and the legal profession through board membership in the Society for Computers and Law and International Federation of Computer Law Associations (IFCLA) conferences.
Teaching
You can access our world-leading research through Sussex's Information Technology & Intellectual Property Masters (LLM). If you are a PhD student, we supervise information law PhD projects and convene the Internet Law and IP Law courses.
Research
We are involved in information governance and regulation research.
We have strong links to world-leading science and policy research, digital humanities, development studies and informatics at Sussex. We also work with the Brighton ‘Silicon Beach’ hub of digital entrepreneurs and policy makers.
