The University of Sussex Business School has achieved internationally recognised accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), completing the prestigious Triple Crown alongside its existing AMBA and EQUIS accreditations and placing it among the top 1% of business schools worldwide to hold all three.
The latest quality assurance recognises the School's commitment to high-quality business education, impactful research and continuous improvement, following a rigorous international accreditation process.
Professor Sasha Roseneil, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Sussex, said:
"Achieving AACSB accreditation is a major milestone for the University of Sussex, recognising the international standing of our Business School.
This achievement recognises the University of Sussex Business School’s academic excellence, rigorous research, and supportive learning environment, and its distinctive commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Joining the select group of business schools globally that have been granted AACSB accreditation and hold the Triple Crown is a great moment for our Business School, and for the whole University.”
The accreditation follows an international peer review visit, during which the School demonstrated its strengths in interdisciplinary research, policy influence, innovative teaching, student support and international partnerships.
The AACSB review team also highlighted the School's collaborative culture, its engagement with business and society, and its commitment to continuously improving the student experience.
Professor Ingrid Woolard, Executive Dean of the University of Sussex Business School, said:
"Achieving AACSB accreditation and joining the global elite of Triple Crown business schools worldwide is the result of years of hard work and dedication from so many people, including colleagues past and present, students, alumni and our external partners.
"What makes this so special is that AACSB recognises our impactful research, the support we give our students, our collaborative ethos, and our commitment to making a real difference in business and society.
"I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part in getting us here.”
AACSB is one of the world's leading business education accreditation bodies, recognising schools that demonstrate high standards in teaching, research, student success and engagement with society.
Together with AMBA and EQUIS, AACSB accreditation provides independent international recognition of the School's quality and commitment to excellence, helping it stand out to prospective students from around the world. Triple Crown status also provides further opportunity to build partnerships with universities and businesses internationally. For Business School students and graduates, it offers the reassurance that their education meets top internationally recognised standards.
