Three Score Dance Takeover Day
Three Score Dance takes over Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts for an afternoon of movement, music, connection and joy.
JUTE, choreographed by Takeshi Matsumoto, sees our company dancers, all ages 60+, explore a twenty-metre jute rope with playfulness and imagination, ending with an invitation for everyone to dance together.
Then it’s time for the daytime disco! Head to the bar for a dance party with a live DJ. Dance, watch, chat or simply soak up the atmosphere.
Concluding with a performance of BETWIXT, our performance company explores the strange, vivid terrain of being in-between. Moving between quiet suspension and restless energy, the dancers reveal the tension, humour and unexpected joy that can reside inside uncertainty.
Three Score Dance’s vision is for everyone to experience the joy and benefits of creative ageing through dance. Join the takeover and step into the world of Three Score Dance!
Tickets are avaliable for £10 for all Sussex students, staff and alumni from the Attenborough Centre website.
Intergenerational Workshop add-on: 12pm-1.30pm
For just £3 more, join us for an all and any ages workshop exploring TSD’s approach and themes from our work JUTE. Taking inspiration from the twenty-metre jute rope at the heart of the performance, participants will discover new ways of moving together, building connections across generations and creating something as a group. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.
