Navigating Education While Black
poster
When: Tuesday 27 October, 17:00–17:45 Led by: Hon Dr Stuart Lawrence
Description: Join Hon Dr Stuart Lawrence for an interactive and reflective workshop on navigating education while Black.
Stuart is an educator, author and campaigner who spent fifteen years as a secondary school teacher. He speaks nationally on race, inclusion and resilience, drawing on his own experiences and his family's long campaign for justice following the racist murder of his brother, Stephen Lawrence. His books include Silence Is Not an Option and Growing Up Black in Britain.
We particularly encourage Black academics and staff to join. Students and staff of colour are also welcome, along with anyone who finds this topic important and relevant to their work.
