Description: Who gets to be an environmentalist, and who has been left out?
Hosted and curated by Sussex alumnus Sentel Nell, who is travelling from South Africa for the conference, this session brings together academics from SPRU and [the sustainability department]. They will ask where, why and how Black people have been excluded from mainstream environmentalism.
The discussion will also look at the actions and movements that have pushed back, and what a more inclusive environmental movement could look like.
