Title: Redefining accountability for evaluation of Transformative Innovation Policy: linking learning and actionable knowledge with implementation
Abstract:
The presentation will develop the work taking place with the Panama science and technology agency and will argue that the concept of accountability may, in some contexts, represent a missing link in evaluation methods to advance the generation and adoption of actionable knowledge for transformative change. It will argue that doing so requires revisiting the concept of accountability under the principles of Transformative Innovation Policy (TIP) and redefining the practices of account giving to establish a new understanding of the relationship between policy, evaluation and accountability in the context of transformative change for sustainability.
