Many of you will know Dr. Schreiber for his introduction, back in 2000, of the highly influential information-theoretic notion of Transfer Entropy, which in the intervening years has gained huge traction in a remarkably diverse range of fields, from the physical and biological sciences, to statistics, econometrics, the social sciences, and beyond.
