Your Root to Sussex, an initiative designed to encourage prospective students to visit our Open Days by public transport, has now purchased over 5,000 trees to be planted across the Sussex countryside.

Since 2023, the Event team within UK Recruitment have collaborated with Trees for Graduates, and more recently, the South Downs National Park Trust, to plant a tree for every student who travels to a Sussex Open Day by public transport and registers with us on the day.

In addition to contributing to the Trees for the Downs campaign, launched in 2019 and led by the South Downs National Park Trust, the initiative also supports Sustainable Sussex – our vision to become one of the most sustainable universities in the world.

The team are looking forward to welcoming more prospective students who qualify for a tree at the Summer Open Day on Saturday 6 June.
