At the University of Sussex, we’re committed to supporting your health and wellbeing. As part of this, eligible staff can access a Health Cash Plan provided by Simplyhealth - a practical benefit designed to help with the cost of everyday healthcare.
The plan helps you manage routine health costs by providing cash back on a range of everyday treatments and services. It’s a simple way to help your money go further and many colleagues find it useful for spreading the cost of regular health appointments across the year.
What’s included?
Depending on your level of cover, you can claim for:
- Dental check-ups and treatment
- Eye tests, glasses and contact lenses
- Physiotherapy and other therapies
- A range of additional eligible healthcare costs
Who’s it for?
You can take out a policy for yourself or extend cover to include your partner (living at the same address) and up to four children. This allows each person covered to claim up to the pre-set maximum amount within your claim year.
How does it work?
You choose the level of cover that suits you and contact Simplyhealth directly to set up your policy. Payments are made via Direct Debit (not salary sacrifice).
We have secured a corporate rate with Simplyhealth, meaning eligible staff can benefit from a discounted policy with enhanced benefits compared to standard public packages.
