Refreshers Fortnight is back from Monday 26 January until Sunday 8 February, bringing two weeks of events to
help you settle into the new term and reconnect with Sussex life.
Run by Sussex Students’ Union, Refreshers is all about making January easier, brighter, and
more social. Whether you want to meet new people, try something new, or just take a break
from studying, there’s something for you.
Events include:
● The Big Night Out 2! Grab yourself a ticket and gain access to four iconic venues
with live DJ’s and the chance to meet other students in Brighton. Upon showing your
wristband, you will also be gaining a 2-4-1 Laines pint!
● Get your groove on and come and join the Refreshers Roller Disco in Mandela Hall!
Come and join a full-blown roller disco rave, with skate hire included!
● The SU’s iconic club-night SKINT is back better than ever! Come to Falmer Bar and
be a part of a UV ping-pong tournament alongside drinks, face-painting,
competitions, and prizes.
● Liberation Live: Bands for Refugees will be hosting three amazing bands in Mandela
Hall, raising money for the Calais Appeal. Enjoy a cheap pint, listen to live music,
and support a really great cause!
● EPIK! Wednesdays at Pryzm are the best student nights in town! Money goes back
to your Students’ Union, which means more funding for clubs and societies.
You don’t need to be a first-year or have attended Freshers in September; Refreshers is
open to all students, including postgrads, commuters, and those returning after time away.
Many events are free or low-cost, and tickets are available now for selected sessions.
