Volunteer with Robin Whitmore, help build a living installation
Get involved by volunteering with artist Robin Whitmore as they create an exciting installation that celebrates LGBTQ+ literary legends. Over two days at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, volunteers will help craft life-sized cardboard cut-out figurines of iconic queer writers, based on suggestions from festival attendees.
This opportunity is ideal for LGBTQ+ or ally arts students, but all students with an interest in the arts are welcome. No advanced artistic skills are required, different styles and abilities are encouraged. Volunteers should be able to follow instructions and work quickly and enthusiastically in a public-facing space.
Tasks may include:
- Online research
- Drawing and painting
- Cutting and glueing
- Placing figurines around the venue
Volunteer slots available:
- Saturday 11 October, 10:00–13:00 or 14:00–17:00
