Elections will soon take place for Professional Services and academic vacancies on both the University’s Council and Senate, to represent for a three-year period from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2028.  

Ballots will start on Monday 9 June, when eligible voters will receive an email from CIVICA election services, who manage the vote independently on behalf of the University.  

Please take a few minutes to cast your vote and help ensure that staff are properly represented on these bodies. 

The ballot will run until Friday 20 June and results will be made available w/c 23 June on the Governance webpages. 

Professional Services staff 

Two Professional Services staff members are standing to represent colleagues on Council: 

• Gemma Harman, Senior Research Manager, School of Engineering and Informatics 

• Claudia Raistrick, Senior Project Manager, University Strategy Development

Among academic staff, 17 individuals are standing to represent Faculty at Senate and overarching Academic representation on Council. There are five separate elections running as follows:
