With the end of the 2023/24 academic year fast approaching, eligible Sussex students are reminded of a crucial student finance deadline: 31 May 2024. This is the last day of the 2023/24 (the current) academic year to submit applications to the Student Loans Company (SLC) for financial support and importantly tuition fees.

For those who have not yet applied for the 2023/24 (current) academic year Student Loans Company financial support, time is of the essence to ensure fees are paid and support is secured.

Why the deadline matters – it’s time to act now             

The 31 May 2024 deadline is more than just a date on the calendar; it's the last day eligible students can apply to access vital financial support from the SLC for the current year. If you are eligible for finances from the SLC, don’t delay, apply online today for funding on the SLC website, and make sure you select the 23/24 academic year.

Please note: if a loan is not applied for, or an application is unsuccessful for any reason, then students will be liable for the tuition fee for the current 2023/24 academic year and will need to arrange payment.
