Did you know your lecturers are world leading researchers? We’re sharing a new video showcasing three of our Centres of Excellence and celebrating the transformative research here at Sussex.
This October, we’ve been celebrating 20 years of Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) - a partnership between University of Brighton, University of Sussex and NHS organisations throughout the South East.
Global Health has been core to the BSMS strategy since the medical school opened in 2003. To eradicate health inequity around the world they target neglected tropical diseases like Podoconiosis which they aim to eliminate within our lifetime - a disease that affects four million in some of the world’s poorest countries.
To mark this anniversary we’re sharing a new video showcasing three of our Centres of Excellence, our flagship centres of research.
Hear from world-leading researchers; Gail Davey, Director of Centre for Global Health Research, Winfried Hensinger, Director of Sussex Centre for Quantum Technology and Alice Eldridge Co-Director of Sussex Digital Humanities Lab.
You can learn about the impossible challenges they are taking on and how each Centre is driving progress for our planet and its people.
Stay tuned for more videos in the series, showcasing more of the amazing research from our Centres of Excellence.
