Our new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sasha Roseneil, would like you to join her for her first Open Forum next week. In this listening session, which may be the first opportunity for many of you to meet her, she is keen to hear your thoughts about Sussex and what should be our collective priorities.
The Open Forum is taking place on Tuesday 4 October from 3 - 4.30 pm in the Attenborough Centre auditorium. The event will also be streamed on Zoom and recorded for those unable to attend on the day.
Listening session
Sasha wants to hear directly from you about what it is like to work at Sussex and to engage you in conversation about what is going well and what might need to change. Professor Robin Banerjee, Head of the School of Psychology, will host the event and help facilitate discussions on the day.
In-person spaces are almost full but do add yourself to the waiting list as well as registering for online attendance and we will let you know if a space becomes available.
For those who are joining in person, there will be an opportunity for informal conversation over refreshments after the event.
If you would like to send some reflections to the VC in advance, please do, and even if your input isn’t discussed on the day, it will feed into Sasha’s developing understanding of the University. Please feel free to send your thoughts by emailing: internalcomms@sussex.ac.uk
Details on how to access the online event will be emailed to those registered before the event. Running the event in this format is new for us: we will ask for your feedback afterwards to evaluate its effectiveness help us ensure that you find the Open Forums beneficial.
