At long last, we are delighted to be able to host Winter Graduation in January. We are writing to ask for help at the ceremonies taking place on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 January 2022 at the Brighton Centre, King’s Road, Brighton.
Due to the postponement of our ceremonies during the pandemic, we are also inviting students back who were due to graduate in January 2021. Those who missed their summer graduation ceremonies will be invited back in July 2022.
Graduation ceremonies are an ideal opportunity to play a part in congratulating our students on their academic achievements and are a key event in the University calendar. Winter graduation is going to be even more special after such a long break.
Your safety is our primary concern so we have been working closely with our Health and Safety colleagues as well as Brighton Centre staff to ensure that all measures are in place. We will be sharing all this information with you ahead of graduation and at the briefing meeting and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
We are incredibly thankful to be supported by the many members of staff who work with us during this special occasion. Those who have worked at graduation before will know that the contribution made by Professional Services staff is vital in making the celebration a success.
Over 100 members of staff are needed to work each day and we cannot emphasise enough how much we value and appreciate your help. If your normal working hours are part-time, please sign up and we will find a duty to accommodate your availability.
A delicious hot lunch will be provided as well as refreshments and snacks during your regular breaks. For more details, including descriptions of the duties available, check out our webpages.
If you have any queries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the Graduation team by emailing graduation@sussex.ac.uk or phoning x7015.
