Mid Street Lab and The Vault

This transformative new programme invites BIPOC students at Sussex to step into a unique five-month creative journey connecting university life with Brighton’s vibrant cultural landscape.

Beginning January 2026 students will gain full MSL membership bursaries, and help shape the 2026 creative calendar using their fresh academic insights and critical thinking.

Through exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses and city-wide mapping, participants become co-creators of a living archive of Black and Brown influence in Brighton.

Inspiring, empowering, and community-centred - this is an opportunity not to miss.

This programme will be in place until May 2026 with flexible timing vs academic priorities
