The International Anti-Corruption Masterclass (IACMA) in cooperation with the University of Sussex and the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre (ROLACC, Qatar/Doha), is convened by Dr. Dimitris Ziouvas.
IACMA is a unique series of lectures in the field of anti-corruption, financial criminal policy and sustainable development aiming to improve human capital, empower professionals, inspire youth and transform societies in Qatar, the Gulf and MENA region and world wide.
IACMA is committed to helping achieve the aims of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (especially SDG 16 on Peace, Justice and strong Institutions), the UNODC Doha Declaration on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Being aware of the pivotal role played by Academia in educating professionals and future generations in anti-corruption, ethics, and responsible, transparent and sustainable governance, the School of Law, Politics and Sociology at the University of Sussex in cooperation with ROLACC is offering since 2016 the innovative masters course, the LLM in Corruption, Law and Governance. IACMA draws upon the world leading anti-corruption expertise of the Sussex Centre for the Study of Corruption.
Who can participate
The International Anti-Corruption Masterclasses are open not only to all University of Sussex postgraduate students and LLM alumnae/alumni but are targeted particularly at members of the general public with an interest in the fields of Corruption and Anti-Corruption studies, Governace, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Ethics and Public and Corporate Governance.
IACMA adopts an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to adressing corruption. Our Distinguished Lecturers cover a very broad spectrum of academic and professional disciplines: law, politics, sociology, economics and finance, international relations, development and sustainability studies.
