Since 1992 the department has developed a strong relationship with the V&A. Faculty members have held senior research fellowship posts at the museum while members of the museum's staff have contributed to teaching at Sussex. This enables faculty to gain intimate knowledge of the V&A's collections, while Sussex students gain first-hand experience of the workings of the museum.
